Kratom Sales near Grade Schools busted

The article describes  a person selling  Kratom water  for 100 baht per bottle, or 30 baht per glass.

My understanding possession for medical reasons is legal, however sales in food or drink are not.

Maya Bay reopens to tourism

Maya Bay became famous after the DiCaprio film 'The Beach'

No swimming allowed
Personally I am not fond of mass tourism with limited do's and plenty restrictions.

lithium battery fire frequency increasing

Plane makes emergency landing in San Diego after battery pack catches fire

The explosion of a lithium battery on an aircraft made me think of safety steps I should take.

Granted such fires are not that often, but they do happen.
Keeping such batteries in non flammable locations is top on my safety list.
A non electrical fire extinguisher is second on that list.

Porous Borders

There is some border surveillance as this Bangkok Post article attests.  Often wondered what percentage gets through.

Years ago I was on a tour boat which drifted to the 'other side,' disembarked what appeared to be day laborers, then cranked up the engines to travel against the current to get back to the other side
Snorted some speed back in the eighties. When I realized how detrimental it was to my health, I quit cold turkey
