Ground Breaking by KUBOTA
Looks like they are making final preparations to open for business.
Their demonstrations and groundbreaking last October was definitely a traffic stopper.
It looked a bit like a fair. Plenty of families, all obviously farmers, watching farm tractors in action.
.
Discovering that free beer was served to all visitors (and soft-drinks for the kids), I decided it was worth checking out the activities.

Phuphan Highway
There are many rest stops and sights to see when traveling on this mountainous road.

Pilgrimage to That Phanom
Was visiting with friends in Khok Si Suphan, a town 22 km from Sakon Nakhon when I saw this procession. Barefooted monks on an apparent pilgrimage.
They were on their way to That Phanom to pay homage at a revered temple there.
I observed an almost unending column of monks for over half an hour before they disappeared in the distance, they had over 80 km to go.
