Killing bugs without toxins and keeping pets at a distance

I use the stuff around my neck and ankles while sitting in front of my computers early in the morning.                                        Keeps all biting insects at bay.                             Also keeps dogs at a distance.         Whenever Lucy 'invites me to play' and I'm not interested, I show her the bottle and she heads to her hideout under the   couch.                                            Considering citronella plants   around the yard near doorways
