Sakon Nakhon marching

Thai ฿ on the rise

The Thai Baht is on the rise.  Hopefully it's only a temporary climb.
If you look at the five year trend.  We've been here before.
For me it means a cost of living increase.
For Thailand it means more expensive exports.
Exporters would prefer a devalued Baht.

In order to help their export economy, Japan recently devalued their currency slightly.
To which the Russians seem to be threatening a currency world war.

24 hours before the Temple Fair

The local temple grounds looked more like a tent city this morning

Sakon Nakhon Make Belief

Is that a donkey he's riding?  Sure doesn't look like a horse

Chilly Nights Again

Yesterday's wind gusts from the north east were a notice of a change in the weather.
Expect three cool nights with temperatures in the low teens (low 50's Fahrenheit).

The temperature roller coaster ride continues

Humidity is 20 to 30% below the average in recent years.
Fire hazards due to dryer conditions.
