Most storm tracking maps have the storm edge just north of Sakon Nakhon  city.  The coolest day on 23 July (25°), the wettest days on 22 and 23 July

There is still a bit of uncertainty for those two days. Forecasts for the city  are varied from  rain - shower - 21mm  -cloudy. 

Probably an accurate update can be expected once Wipha makes landfall in Vietnam

Temperatures up, US Dollar down

Weather Channel does not provide feels like temperatures. They do list humidity for the day. Using a humidity conversion chart Some of the daily feels like heights could reach 48C to 49C. I deleted those calculations from my chart as humidity generally climbs in late afternoon when temperatures tend to drop, so those extreme highs may not be realistic. 

Dollar is dropping

Plenty major headlines in the news. Many articles blame the "tariff fiasco." Investors are leaving for greener pastures in Europe according to many reports.

According to Bank of Thailand charts, the dollar compared to the Thai Baht has slipped to early march numbers.

One can only anticipate the dollar value will slide some more

Hot season is here, yet there have been complaints of a late start

Mountain people complained of the late start of the extreme heat.  It hindered the growth of forest vegetation they usually harvest and bring to market beginning in March

During these hot days, if you don't have a pool, a trip to canals or rivers is a great alternative to keeping cool and having fun

I compare 9 weather sites on a regular basis. 

All indicate the warm morning temperatures are on hold.

Overnight lows will drop to low teen Celcius and start warming up to upper teens by the next weekend. 

Forecasting cooler temperatures is BBC (9C), while TMD expects the cold spell to last a bit longer.

Forecasts are generally more accurate for the first three to four days

Reviewing blog entries, I reported 'shivering cold 7C" on 12 January 2009. 

Same 7C headline on January 15, 2014. In December 2017 the forecast was as low as 6 for a couple days. 

Most years cold spells were at 9 to 11C. Occasionally cold spells made my headlines as late as March.

There were also years when December temperatures reached 40C
