Sakon Nakhon Wax Castle Fair 2012

I had a super time visiting this year's fair.
Probably one of the more memorable evening's out.

Meeting so many friends in one evening was really orgasmic (intense excitement).

Of course I visited
the Wax Castles on display

  Eyed my countless dining options

Explored all four corners of the fair grounds

  Saw an interesting t-shirt.
The wearer obviously was very religious

Most of the remainder of the evening we found greats seats at the fairgrounds entrance.
Watching people go by. It's my favorite past-time activity.
Had a few beers and listened to some really great music.

The music got even better when the fiddler began to play.
Unfortunately my camera memory stick had reached it's peak

Many stopped to enjoy the music

Alcoholic beverages were outlawed at the fairgrounds.  But this was a special occasion, a good enough reason to bend the rules

Waiters were delivering countless pitchers  from a neighborhood  grocer a to the food court.
There's one "Happy Grocer!!"

Ist das nicht ein Oktoberfest?  Ya, das ist ein Oktoberfest !!

Observation:  Most farang I have seen in this town in the past 10 years at one time. I lost count after seeing 20 foreigners, they just kept on coming.  Native Americans call them palefaces.
The fairgrounds entrance would have been the best place to pass out business cards and...

Festival doldrums

I've seen and experienced it ten times before. The Bee's Wax Festival.
It's very much the same every year,  a bit of a ho-hum event for me.
I'll make a quick trip to the fairgrounds this evening,
 when they move the castles.

I'll  watch tomorrow's televised parade  from home with a drink or two

Just sprinkles

Tropical storm Son-Tinh continues to keep it's distance from this area.
I expect nothing more than a sprinkle here and there,
a day or two of cooler temperatures.

Probably won't even lessen the effects of the drought.
Extended outlook through most of November is mostly sunny.
I'm watering my plants as usual

If you slap it, it will swell.

...but it's only temporary.

Some time back, almost every media in the world picked up on a story from Thailand "on bigger boobs.'
'Slap em and make em grow,' they advertised, "a new massage technique."

If you've ever been slapped in the face, you know the swelling goes away in a few days.

According to 'licensed' practitioners, face slapping removes wrinkles.
A 15 minute session costs $350 and is recommended four times a month to be effective.

There's also treatment for your butt: Butt slapping.

...But officer I only wanted to remove her wrinkles...
