                At 4.00 a.m. LST on 13 October, typhoon “NARI” in the middle South China Sea was centered about 750 kilometers east of Da Nang, Vietnam or at 15.4 degree North and 115.2 degree East with maximum sustained winds about 130 km/hr. It is moving west at speed of 20 km/hr. It is expected will make landfall at middle Vietnam during 15-16 October and then will downgrade to the tropical storm and the tropical depression. Light to moderate rainfall with windy is likely in the eastern portion of northeast Thailand

Typhoon Nari is forecast to arrive locally as a tropical storm

Many of the recent storm approaches have made a sharp northerly turn as they approach land.  It's a possibility.

Possibly it's late because they can't agree



But at least the army team is out there practicing

Sakon Nakhon FUN AHEAD

  Five days to go and still no schedule of events in sight. 
   Looking at a number of past schedules, they are very much alike.

• An early morning parade from the municipal field (Across the street from the police station), into the waterfront park. Generally 8 AM
• Depending on the length of speeches by government v.i.p., the boat parade starts at 10 or 11 am.  Boat Parade is a MUST SEE. Early arrival essential for a front row seat.  When the parade begins, the waterfront tends to be crowded
• Longboat races begin after the boat parade and last till approx 5 pm.
• Evening activities at the municipal field
