Kenneth Barrett deceased

Unconfirmed talk at Sakon Nakhon Apple Restaurant,

Ken Kenneth Barrett passed away Tuesday, April 9.

It is the third death of a foreigner in the Sakon Nakhon area within a week.

Two days earlier a gentleman named Ray passed away while at the hospital for stomach problems.

Graham had passed away after being involved in a motorcycle crash late last week.

I have no information of funeral arrangements for Ken or Ray as I have no contact information

If you want to be noticed, this is for you

Saw these two motorbikes at a local Yamaha dealer.

Never seen dual front wheels on a bike before, so of course I googled them.

Piaggio first brought dual front wheel bikes on the market in 2006

At double the price of a two wheel motorbike, the advantages seem minimal.
No kickstand required, can be parked on a sloping ground.

Not sure what the cc rating on these particular models were.

A 125 cc three wheeler is slower than a regular 125 cc bike due to the additional weight

Of course it's an attention grabber if that's what you're into

Patchy Rain likely for Songkran

There have been rains over the past week throughout the province.
Until yesterday it wasn't noted much in the city. It's been quite scattered.

I totally disagree with the local weather service, who recorded less than an inch of rainfall yesterday (14.7mm).
The thunderstorm lasted about an hour.

I have to find some rain gear.  If all else fails trash bags are more durable than the raincoats being sold here

In Waritchaphum district, some 70 km to the west of Sakon City, hail storms, and high winds collapsed a school building, which in turn destroyed a car

Thai Meteorological Department forecasts scattered showers (20-40%) through Songkran.

Most weather services agree patchy rain for the holidays.

There are still strong northerly influences keeping temperatures pleasant
