Van drivers gather almost daily around noon at the lake park.  
What surprised me was the increased number of vans in town. 
Seems a bit early with festivities starting in three weeks.  Probably a lack of tourists?

Conclusion: Two third of Thais, 44 million are underemployed??
Population (2013): 68 million,    0.94% of World Population

"...and land/property taxes before the end of the year..."

Sakon Nakhon getting ready to party




At the lake they are busy clearing the racetrack of vegetation.  It's being piled up along the shore awaiting trucks to haul it away.


The machines can't reach spots close to the shore.  There it's manual sickle work


Artisans are busy building the wax castles and they do welcome visitors.
