Busy local High Season

airlineroute. net has posted an announcement stating that NOK Air is increasing their daily flights to Sakon Nakhon from two to three.

When checking Nok Air booking website there are four flights daily.  All NOK  outbound flights from Sakon Nakhon on Dec 26 to Dec 31 are fully booked.

Thai Time: a stomach churner

Today is the last day of the Sakon Nakhon Black Magic Fair
The Christmas festivities continue in Tha Rae.
The Sakon Nakhon Christmas Star Parade is on the evening of the 25th.

I must apologize to some friends.  I had been told the Tha Rae parade was to commence at 6:15.
When my ride arrived half an hour late a I was beginning to panic.  My stomach was churning and telling me to relax.  It's a bad habit of mine "trying to be punctual and on time."

I had forgotten to add Thai time.  The parade started around 7:30

Tha Rae Christmas

Went with friends to see a friend who lives in Tha Rae. The Christmas parade passes right by his house.

The parade was a bit different this year. Divided it into two parades.

A float parade on December 23, and a pedestrian parade the following day.

Poor decision, the parade was done with in twenty minutes or so.  It was really a driveby.
Each float, with stars which have gotten quite larger over the years, has a manger on the rear.  Trying to get pictures of some of the mangers was tricky.  You had to be careful not to get run over by the following float.

  

There seemed to be a lot more to see and do this year. Lots more vendors and street entertainment.

Nice to see You

Obviously I am in better health than earlier this year when I had artery surgery,
or recovering  from my September motorcycle accident.

It was great to be able to attend two recent expat parties.
Meeting new faces who tell me that they read my blog daily really gave me multiple mental orgasms.

Enjoyed meeting so many being in a happy, pleasurable, laidback mood.  This Monday morning my attention will concentrate on Sunday Night Football at maximum volume.
