Average price of rentals

I have seen house rentals from 3,000 on up, apartment rentals from 1,200 on up. Depends a lot on location of course.    Renting an apartment, the building owner tends to tack a percentage on your electricity bill. Depending how much, your electric bill may actually double.    If you make any improvements, installing curtain rods, window screens and such, your landlord expects that they remain on the property when you vacate.

Reason for selling is that I've moved to another part of Thailand to educate my children, and won’t be returning to live in Sakon Nakhon permanently for another 10 years. It won’t be good for the property to sit empty for that long. We own 20 rai adjacent to the property and will build another smaller home on that in the future. Heavy rain and flooding in Bangkok is making the headlines in newspapers and on social media.  It's not the first time Bangkok is flooded, it's a recurring event creating misery.  It's not going to get any better.  Bangkok is sinking 3 centimeters a year .
