Oh what a relief it was

An extreme heatwave had been forecast by just about all forecasters for the week. I did notice a weather system far to the east of us, and it seemed to be heading east.  Unexpected the system rapidly expanded west with high winds at first, then rain and dropping temperatures. It's something not uncommon to the area. I've watched heavy storms approach, then unexpectedly change directions. The pleasant cool temperatures did not make it far into the province.  Comments on facebook from Sawang Daen Ding  indicate that they had the high winds, but not the accompanying rain. High temperatures are in the forecast today, but so are a couple of thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening.

I'd been procrastinating filing my tax return just to get a $50 refund...  

When to File

If you are a U.S. citizen or resident alien residing overseas, or are in the military on duty outside the U.S., on the regular due date of your return, you are allowed an automatic 2-month extension to file your return and pay any amount due without requesting an extension. 

For a calendar year return, the automatic 2-month extension is to June 15. 

If you qualify for this 2-month extension, penalties for paying any tax late are assessed from the 2-month extended due date of the payment (June 15 for calendar year taxpayers). However, even if you are allowed an extension, you will have to pay interest on any tax not paid by the regular due date of your return (April 15 for calendar year taxpayers).

Waterproofing is the word of the day, for the next three days in Thailand for all electronic devices. This mobile phone case is ideal. You don't need to take the phone out of the case to make a call. The clear plastic even lets you take clear pictures as long as there are no waterdrops in front of the lens.
