Sakon Nakhon Wax Castle Festival 2017


Something a bit different this year, mini parades accompanied the tractor pulled floats. A few of the floats had already arrived by the time I arrived. Obviously this sculpture was a bit heavy, it was tilted quite a bit to one side. The boys set it on the ground a couple times. Problem was obvious, they had all the short guys on one side, the tall guys on the other.

Festival day two

This evening is a great time to spend at the city grounds with plenty of things to see and do.

Thai media will be trumpeting this visit for days. Wonder what the impact on the trade deficit will be.

I'll watch some of the ceremonies on TV

Wax Castle Festival starts today
I'll have to seal my lips on this one Learning English the fun way I've seen a few coaches come and go, they always start out with lots of hope, then they get booted No Problem in Paradise Brainless, the most surveilled place in town. Leaving your luggage unattended is just as brainless though Did not realize it's been 10 years, posted very little during the first three years fourth track under construction. Those upper tracks are going to need retainer walls. I'll be looking for some laminate with a woodsy pattern

Message for U.S. Citizens: Regarding Social Security Services Overseas

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has consolidated its overseas operations into several regional offices that provide a full range of SSA services for U.S. citizens residing outside of the United States. Effective October 1, 2017, individuals residing in Thailand who require social security services or have questions about SSA benefits must contact the SSA Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) located in the U.S. Embassy Manila, Philippines, rather than the U.S. Embassy, or U.S. Consulate in Thailand.

Please be advised that as of October 1, 2017, the U.S. Embassy, and U.S. Consulate in Thailand can no longer accept telephone calls, emails, or walk-in consultations regarding Social Security issues.
