Road stops are a fact of life in Thailand
Unlicensed, uninsured, unbuckled, motor cyclists without helmets and an occasional stolen vehicle are some of the major catches. I've heard it said that some road stops are elaborate enough to accommodate urine tests.

No light switch needed
Totally captivated with these motion detector light bulbs. A bit pricey at nearly 300 baht.
It's nice when you walk around the house, inside and outside. and you don't have to reach for a light switch.
I'm using the ones that also have day/ night detectors. Won't go on during the daytime. At night it senses my reflection of the refrigerator, so the light comes on a few seconds before I enter the kitchen.
Outdoors they tend to notice cats, dogs, butterflies and bushes bending in the wind
Great also for an outhouse.
Bought two yesterday, sales lady said: 'get one free'
