Colorful Weekend

    

Designated on the map with a P, indicating a parking lot, the area is located by the Rear gate to Wat Phra That Choeng, and across the street to the waterfront park. Over a decade ago the area was an outdoor restaurant.  I remember it because the restaurant staff brought out a fan for the table with the foreigner, me.

The latest 'Colorful' configuration was put together in mid October in time for the longboat races.

Phu Phan Cup Opening Day, November 20, 2018

Four games are scheduled to be played on Tuesday November 20 at two locations. Sakon Nakhon is involved in two of those games

• Sakon B host Bueng Kan, 3 pm, at Sawang Daeng Din

• Sakon A hosts Mukdahan, 5 pm , at the Provincial Stadium (Airport Road)

Unconfirmed, but most likely accurate, the opening ceremony will take place at 1 pm in Sawang Daeng Din

Fitness center, turf football stadium and soon to be walking street

 

 

Located on Rat Phatthana Road.  The swimming pool has been there for decades and was recently rebuilt. I have no idea how the name was picked.  The fitness facility, pool and stadium are open for business.

In the final days of construction are shops in the alley which has the appearance of a short walking street.
