190508 The Golden Shower Tree

Thai media calls it "Yellow Star," yellow represents the Chakri Dynasty.    Yellow also represents Mondays an Monday birthdays.

The tree is also known as ratchaphruek and the golden shower tree.

The scientific name is Cassia fistula
None of the plant is edible as it may cause temporary diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pains.

Human food and animal feed

although it is an ingredient in some mass-produced herbal laxatives.
