Thailand's New Alcohol Ban

The consumption of alcohol, while driving, or as a passenger, in any vehicle on public roadways, is prohibited effective August 8, 2012.  

Violators  are subject to imprisonment of up to six months, and / or a fine of up to THB 10,000.

Passengers on Trains are exempt from this law
