Sakon F.C. Highlights from S.T.V. (Sakon Nakhon TV)

Video by

Sakon FC Yasothon FC 2-2

It was quite noticeable that Sakon FC players had improved their defensive game.  Even though the first half of the game was scoreless, the action on the field was thrilling.

Also very noticeable was the new coach.

Obviously a 'hands on' type of guy, giving his players instructions throughout the game from the sideline.

Both teams seemed to be out for a win during the second half, the action was intense, not just on the field, but also from the cheering fans.  The Sakon Nakhon cheering section has gotten larger and more vocal.

For a while it looked like Sakon FC was going to win this game, but obviously Yasothon players weren't going away as loosers.  The game ended in a tie.

But wait there's more:

One couple decided to bring their pet to the game, quite an unusual sight.  I always thought cats had a mind of their own.  This one seemed quite content inside it's carry on bag.

As for the Yasothon para medic, the guy should be a player, not a glorified water and ice guy.  When he was needed on the field, this guy ran faster than a bullet train.

I wasn't the only one doing a double take at one visitor to the game.  The spitting image of former Sakon Nakhon Resident Ned. A younger version.

Yasothon fish for dinner at my house tonight

Yasothon fans remembered Joey and brought him quite a hefty bag of a Yasothon delicacy, the catch of the day on ice

I did mention Hot and Hotter

This week has definitely been hotter than usual for this time of the year.
Weather you'd expect to experience in April, Thailand's hot season.
Temperatures on my perimeter walls exceeded my thermometer limit of 50C/122F
Much of that heat radiates toward the house.

If I'm not in the pool or in my air conditioned den, then I'm reclined in front of the TV with three powerful fans.
This must be the drought forecast over a month ago.  I was a nonbeliever then.

'Slightly' cooler with increased chance of rain over the next few days.

Thai Students below global average (I.Q)
Even though the world average seems to be right in the middle at 100, anything above 90 is considered normal.  6.5% Thais intellectually impaired.
You can't read too much into these tests though.  I had a very smart friend, over 130 I.Q.  But when it came to common sense, he was dumber than a doornail.

Test your own I.Q. at iqtest.dk  mine is 109

  • Sakon FC hosts Yasothon this Sunday, July 10, 5 PM

This event makes no sense to me
Seems like we should have left that behind during the barbaric period.
Notice all the senior citizens with a death wish?

Scout Day - Rocket Fest - Sport Day - Asia blamed

 Sakon Nakhon Scouting Day
.

This clip has been shown on local cable STV.

I'm thinking it was scouting day.

That morning at 8, my driver was stuck in traffic near the school. It took us half an hour to get out of two city blocks.

 Rocket Fest at Phan Khon
Think it was Phan Khon, 55 km from Muang Sakon, even though the video says Pungkon
