Sakon FC defeated at Kalasin

We arrived at the Kalasin stadium two hours before game time, intending to dine at an adjacent restaurant.
The recommended restaurant across the street from the Kalasin stadium, closed on game day??
With plenty of time, we headed for the local Foodland, a less pricey alternative.  Lunch for seven people 500THB.
At the stadium, a Kalasin FC staffer greeted us:  "Thank You for coming"
Nice people those Kalasin folk.
Broadcasting equipment all over the place.  The entire game it was obvious that players and officials were "playing to the camera."

Kalasin won the game 2-0, they missed many opportunities.
Sakon FC had a lot of luck.  It could have been much worse.

With the losses continuing to pile up for Sakon FC,  I'll have to start thinking of another weekend activity next year.  They are headed for a one years suspension.
An estimated 800 to 1,000 fans attended the game.  My estimate is based on a partial count of people.  Some 20,000 THB was earned from admission according to one announcement.  If that announcement was accurate, then 400 persons paid admission of 50TBH.
I did notice there where no ticket takers on hand at halftime.

  Mild Rainy Season

plenty cloudy days
Most of the rain this season has been a bit here, a bit there.
Plenty of sunny and cloudy days with high humidity.
Over the past ten days I have surrendered four times to the hum of the air conditioner
Most of the storms in the South China sea (1) continue heading north.
Further inland (2) the weather is moving south West.
Our local weather is arriving from the North-Northeast

Sakon Nakhon living

Footsal

I did mention recently  'footsal season starts soon, sponsors wanted.'
It's official, the season starts mid-month and neighborhood boys will be wearing
uniforms with Sakon Nakhon - Live

Duck dinner interrupted by Snake hunt,

Team members were having a double birthday party just up the street. They were BBQ'ing a duck.  A young lady screamed 'snake.'  The snake hunt was on.

Snake disposal didn't go according to plan. Bad aiming, the dead snake now hangs on a tree and will most likely attract other rodents.
Update:  According to a facebook entry, duck dinner was delicious

Sakon Nakhon Weather Service

Always wondered where the local weather service is located.
Actually had driven past the place a number of times and suspected that's where it is.  But I was never quite sure.
Recently read an article which indicated that the local weather station was located at the military base outside the city.
Asked Martin (Pit stop Cafe) to explore.
The weather station on the army base is a substation which provides information to the local airport control tower.
Sakon Nakhon's main weather station is located near the Provincial Office complex.
As Martin explains it, the crew at the station welcomed him and gave him a personal tour of the place.
The weather station updates information at regular intervals, as in the image below.
I've added descriptions of the rain condition colors on the side.
The blue you see on the map are lakes, rivers and ocean, not light rain
