Shindig Traffic Jam
The municipal ground (Ming Muang Field) served as a parking lot
for buses, vans, and songthaews yesterday
Streets were at capacity with traffic.
Pedestrian traffic seemed to outpace motor vehicles
There was some sort of shindig at the main temple
Best explanation I received was "monk promotions, when they get their shields."
Had to wade through the traffic twice.

Blazing Sunshine HOT, Sunscreen Advised
Thai Meteorological Department, who's forecasts are generally conservative, predict highs of 35 and 36 this week.
Accu weather predicts highs will reach 38.
Any way you look at it, HOT, HOTTER, or maybe even the HOTTEST February temperatures.
Currently the hot weather is approaching predominantly from the south

In all previous years (10) admittance to the Red Cross Fair during the afternoon hours has been free until late afternoon. Great time to do some browsing and shopping. Plenty of evening entertainment and dining.
