It's the Hot Season
Weather this week
Expect VERY HOT, with feels like possibly reaching 44C/112FActual temperature 36-38.
Weather system from the west, at the moment mostly north of Sakon City, expect scattered showers.
After school everybody is heading out of town

1:30 pm, at the provincial headquarters.At that time of day I opted for a dip in the pool and resting in front of three fans.
It was a gathering of the civil defense volunteers.

Made my ulcer churn like a cement truck
I dislike berating work ethic.
But there are those occasions when they
can make my ulcer churn like a cement truck.
Road construction in front of my house started February 20
The project sat abandoned for about ten days.
The road to my house was like an unkept dirtbike trail.
Drainpipes were connected while we were at the Udon Football game on Sunday.
Charge 700 Baht
Of the three pipes leading to my house, only one was actually connected.
Two pipes were simply burried. No connection made.
The site supervisor happened to watch me furiously digging the pipe out to do the job correctly.
He "convinced" the crew to do the job right.
Wasn't able to change the third pipe before the cement truck arrived. It's about a foot in the wrong direction and a foot too high.
I'll have to do some serious remodeling to use the pipe provided. Parts and labor I estimate 5,000
The main drain is quite dry. An indication that no one has connected their waste water to the drains (yet). Surely the apartment complex would have generated plenty water by now.
A thunderstorm or a few over the next days will put the drain system to it's test.
I can tell when these local storms arrive, by the amount of the humidity, usually my eyebrows begin to sweat like a fawcet.
But there are those occasions when they

Sakon FC has slipped to 13th (of 16 teams).
Sakon FC next hosts
12th place Loi City FC.
With homecourt advantage this game is winnable.
Even though, Loi city has previously handed Sakon FC a homecourt defeat.

Sakon FC defeated at Udon FC
The trip to Udon: Total chaos!
Around 10 am I received a call, postponing agreed upon departure, by one hour.
Three minutes underway, I realized I had forgotten my passport. Don't leave home without it.
The return trip took 15 minutes. You don't drive around Big-C on a weekend.
Got lost in Udon traffic, we arrived 15 minutes into the game.
With four more games to play today, Sakon FC has already dropped from 7th in the league to 10th.
Chances are that the team's standings will slip some more by the end of today.
