Getting ready to PARADE

Saturday, April 13
Three sources confirmed the start of the parade as 1 PM.
Obviously that was not the start time,
rather the assembly of participants in the staging area.
The parade started punctually at 2 PM.
Gave me the opportunity to observe and photograph PEOPLE, relaxing before the parade.

T.i.T. News

Five dead, 53 hurt in Thailand bus cliff plunge - GulfNews.com

A bus traveling from Udon to Chiang Mai crashed a few days ago.
I'm always quite uneasy on Thai buses, especially when mountainous terrain is involved.
What got my interest in reading about the accident is that the driver noted something was wrong.
He stopped and attempted to make repairs.  Right about then I would have gotten off and started walking, especially since the brakes were 'smoking.'

Most of the times you read  of Thai bus accidents there are hills involved.

Red Head Season in Thailand

Attended a YFC morning game.
Appreciated the 9 am starting time, long before temperatures exceeded my comfort zone.
Victory party at my house. Twenty Pizza boats disappeared in under ten minutes. An hour later a second meal was devoured.

Sakon Nakhon warming

High temperatures are responsible in a surge of sales of fans and air conditioners especially in the Sakon Nakhon area according to media reports.

In a Bangkok Post article, Sakon Nakhon Province is identified as one of two Thai provinces "...that are expected to experience the most extreme variations in temperature and rainfall..." due to global warming, "...resulting in changes in food production."

We could be in for a humdinger* rainy season when it does arrive

* humdinger: extraordinary
