Football, Christmas, and an anniversary

Had the option to attend three football games Saturday.  Took the first offer which was the U-15 game. Some of those players sure looked a lot older than 15.
These young guys played fiercer than their adult counterparts.  Quite a few injuries and a few referee reprimands

TAT advertises the longest fireworks display ever this New Year

Celebrating one year without cigarettes today. Used to smoke two to three packs a day.
The trade off has been weight gain on 10 kilo.
Due to injuries I have to limit my exercise to avoid pain medications. I hope to get some help with the aid of a tens unit. Used on for many years during my working years.

Champs staying ready

A prearranged start time of the
Y.F.C. practice match was moved ahead by an hour.
I got the news after I returned from a trip to an empty stadium

Fossil #5
Wisecrack senior citizens football?

Not so.

It's fossil country: Khon Kaen
The team in mostly orange jerseys recently won the provincial youth championship, with it's next challenge in Udon, April 27

I stayed till half time, after that I had an invite to a birthday party.

Friends Names easy to remember: A, Bank, Dee, M, O, Funny Girl, Oley, #2, Zee

First of all, football in 100 plus degree temperatures has to be hardcore.
If you are a celsius person, over 40.
As a fan I was wearing an improvised icepack on my head.  A wet towel with ice cubes.

As for the game, lets call it a scrimmage, an informal game.
Only half of the Y.FC team showed. A Sakon FC player acted as goalie for the first half.
Referees for the game were Sakon FC players.

Y.FC players (youth under 19 years of age) gave Sakon Nakhon FC a run for their money (so to say). The Sakon FC coach was not very happy.  Didn't understand what he was saying, but he sure did not sound pleased.

Normally I'm a Sakon FC fan, this game is an exception I'm a sponsor. I supply water, ice, energy drinks and jerseys for "O" Osaka team.

A bit off topic, but I love The thai nickname system.  I know an A, an O, an M, a few Zee's, and then there's a few Banks, Oley, Funny girl.  It's a lot easier than remembering British Bob, English Tony, Australian Tony, etc.

The game was fun, but even better was the celebration at my house

Football on a scorching day

Was invited to attend a couple YFC (Youth Football) games and had received a map.
Simple so far.. not.  The map was not accurate, The marker should have been a bit to the left

Stopped at a guardhouse and showed the map to the guard.  He was baffled.  Took the next turn and a U-turn and I was at the football field, about 50 yards from the guardhouse where I first stopped.
The compound appears to be a police training center

Was tempted to climb the tower at one end of the field, but figured I'd be surrounded by some not so pleased lawmen.  There was a moment of mental time travel into my own military past

By halftime The temperature was above 40, I decided time to head to cooler pastures... home and pool
