Did not expect anything else.
Loei is a five hour bus ride from Sakon Nakhon.

After such a long ride on the Sakon FC EXPRESS my tush would qualify for intensive care.

*Mothers Day Thailand *

If you are not a daily contributor to monks, 
you should do this on your birthday and other special occasions.
Such an occasion is today: August 12 is Mothers Day in Thailand.

Local food vendors have extra servings on hand for donations to the monks

On peak donation days pickup trucks accompany the monks to store the large volume of donations. The extra food is served to village poor

 

Various groups of monks from different temples make their rounds

After donations monks say a blessing. It is customary to pour water during this blessing

My rain gauge indicates we had three inches of rain overnight

 

Expect Typhoon Utor to be upgraded to a Category 3 and cause havoc over the Philippines all day Monday.  Typhoon Utor is expected to head for Southern China Tuesday evening.  As of now there are no indications that it will create a local problem.


Five districts in the province have been declared disaster areas due to flooding.
