1. I had wondered when the festival gets underway in Tao Ngoi. Decided to drive there and see if I could find a poster with the dates.
The festival was already in it's second day, with a parade scheduled within three hours. Made a round trip home (40+kilometer) to get my camera
2. Thought I had found myself a good parking spot along the side of the road. Even though I was parked on the shoulder of the road, a house owner told me I could not park there. As it turned out it would have blocked their view of the parade.
As luck would have it I recognized someone across the street and was invited to join the party there
3. A Police officer, approached me with my house keys in hand to ask me if they were mine. I wasn't even going to ask how he figured that out, or where he found them. I just handed him a small reward
