Live Coverage of the Bangkok Demonstrations have been on Thai TV since early this morning.
So far seemingly peaceful and disruptive to traffic. But not traffic stopping.

The red-shirt leader from Udon Thani, Mr. Kwanchai Praipana (Sarakham) has asked RED Shirt fans each to donate one Baht. He wants to raise a bounty for the arrest of anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.

After three balmy summer like days, temperatures dropped quickly after midnight last night into the low teens (Celsius).Expect another cool night, followed by a slight warming trend till midweek.
After that expect a slow and extended downhill ride on the temperature roller-coaster.
No rain in the extended forecast in the area.
I declined attending a Thai family birthday celebration for medical reasons last night (recovering from eye surgery). It was a karaoke joint. Sorry, but I no like karaoke.

Plan Ahead if your travel plans include Bangkok
Even though there are reports that demonstrators have promissed not to shut down the airport, it's advisable to travel throught Bangkok before January 13.
According to Thai PBS, the demonstrators will be closing down 20 key intersection in Bangkok.
Traveling to and from the airport by vehicle most likely will be severely hindered, if not impossible
