They're Ready for the Fair

Yesterday I stopped by and watched final preparations for the Fair opening.

I't not so exciting to me as in past years.

Used to be able and sit down with a cool drink and watch the world go by.

These days Alcohol ห้าม (prohibited) at most public events.

They used to have bumper car rides.  They have been gone for a number of years.
At the Red Cross 'fish tank' I did get greeted: "Hello Mister Hans"

NO BOOZE Chinese New Year

If elections scheduled for February 2 are held, expect a no alcohol sales period to be in effect beginning on Saturday evening, February 1., lasting through midnight on Sunday.

It should get warmer SOON

Had bought an electric heater with thermostat some weeks ago.  Used it overnight. May get to use it for another night tonight.

After that night time temperatures should begin to warm up.  Warmer temperatures expected in time for Chinese New Years celebrations
