The Sakon Nakhon Morning

.
- There was a long period, almost a year, when the public address system had been silent.
Recently it again became a daily morning broadcast.

Starts off with Isan type music, sometimes as early as 5:30 am, generally at 6:30.

Then comes the announcement, in Thai of course.
At times there is a lengthy pause, then the speech continues. As if the announcer was looking for something more to say
-
Barb wire now tops my fence and wall to protect from an overpopulation of cats.
Many of these cats are inbred and have caused quite a bit damage in attics.
One of my neighbours had two simultaneous litters.  All of which found new homes in the neighbourhood and are multiplying.

Ten Tour Companies Out Of Business

Sakon FC vs Mukdahan FC

Fight for the Bottom

Start of the game was delayed by close to half an hour.
At the start of the game there were more Sakon FC fans than Mukdahan fans.
Mukdahan fans sure were a lot more vocal, loud enough you'd think it was a sold out game.

It was a see-saw type of a game. Both teams seemed equal for most of the first half.

Sakon Nakhon scored first.
After Mukdahan evened the score it was very obvious that the tide had turned.

Both teams have had only one win, two draws, and seven losses.  The only factor that Mukdahan  stays at the bottom is the number of goals allowed.
Mukdahan 32, Sakon Nakhon 28
  • Sakon FC Next hosts Kalasin FC, seventh in the league.
  • The following week Sakon Plays at Loei FC, third in the league.
  • During the final game of the first half of the season Sakon FC hosts Nakhon Phanom FC, fifth in the league.

Rules enforced in league football really stifle team spirit.
Fans are not allowed to use megaphones, musical instruments, excluding drums.

Obviously the team is in a serious situation.
