Special Female and children carriages began operating on trains effective Aug. 1., in response to public furor over an alleged rape and murder on a train. The new carriage service was to ensure the safety and convenience of female and child passengers.
Obviously safety and security on public transportation needs to be re-evaluated.

Longan Harvest Season
Longan harvest season is August and September. Generally prices tend to drop during harvest season, apparently even more-so this year due to an expected increased harvest.
