Rather than making the big spender tourists priority one, Thailand should put their focus on the middle class. There are more of the middle class than the rich, a lot more. They are the ones who save their money for a year (or more) to experience a vacation of a lifetime. If they enjoyed it, they'll definitely come back for more and their word of mouth is the best advertisement. At least that's my opinion Pictured above is the bank transfer rate of US$ entering Thailand this week. Similar trends are likely in other currencies. If the trend continues for a while it would greatly enhance tourism. More Bang for your buck. Probably not going to happen, the rich would have to suffer |
