Cool Nighttime temperatures
normal for December
Add to that wind from the east. It was a night without fans at my house.
What makes these evening temperatures so chilling is the plunge from daytime temperatures of 32°C (89.6°F).
These temperatures seem normal for this time of year. On December 6, 2012 noted: Cool Season begins Temperature dip
Noticed similar conditions in in previous years on this date.
The weather is changing, a decade ago I remember sweating at Christmas.

No Alcohol New Year
(Tourism Hara-Kari) proposed
Drinking ban sought for New Year, Songkran | Bangkok Post
porSakon Nakhon
This translates in my mind: bars and discos closed for New Year.
An additional proposal is to outlaw alcohol at all places under the supervision of state agencies. The way I translate that: No alcohol at football games. If that happens my days at the stadium are finished

Typical school day in Thailand
Memories from my teaching days (2003-2011)
No one seemed to have brought a textbook. I put up the text from the song 'Hotel California' on the screen for everyone to read. It's a very popular song in Thailand, even today. They like the song, but no-one knows the words.
Little surprises me anymore in this country, so I was not surprised when I attempted to explain 'Tiffany' and I heard the class in unison say "Ladyboy Show."
Luckily I had Google Photos at the rescue to show Tiffany windows and Tiffany jewelry.
Smart Aleck kid blurts out "Thai Tiffany also have jewelry!"
Took me a while to regain my composure
