New arrivals

Driving past Wat Phra Choeng Chum I noticed a freight truck waiting to be unloaded

Some smaller pieces had already been unloaded

Over the past few years the temple has been extensively renovated* into a pleasant tourist attraction

Security has been enhanced, everybody is being watched

*Renovation is the process of improving a broken, damaged, or outdated structure.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

High today forecast to reach 25C - 77F, unusually cool for this time of the year.
It's going to get warmer as we advance into the week.
Yesterday morning when the temperature was at 25 C, I was sweating profusely, cause of the humidity.  Today with a similar temperature I'm considering a sweater to ride my motorcycle

I may have been wrong calling for an end of the rainy season, there may be another spurt of rainy (four) days next week.  But I do advise to get your sweaters and jackets ready

At the Longboat Races

I awoke with a back pain at an ungodly hour.  I was up for the day.  Driving my motorcycle a long distance was out of the question due to exhaustion.
The day looked much brighter when I received a message "No work today," car and driver available
I knew I was not going to be motivated in the afternoon, decided on a morning trip.  Arrived at 11 am.  Qualifying races where underway.  Four boats per race, the looser was sent packing

Of course there were plenty of Thai smiles

I was invited to join folk for lunch on a few occasions

Also met friends I had not seen in awhile

I headed for home when I noticed it was siesta time (an afternoon rest or nap, especially one taken during the hottest hours of the day in a hot climate.)
