The first transatlantic crossing by airship was made by the British R34 in July 1919 took 4 1/2 days.
Later 5 fuel engine airships made the trip in 3 1/4 days
Staying airborne that long I'd need an open bar to tranquilize myself.
I would have prefered a solar hovercraft, but it ain't been done large scale

A little bit of everything
Weather Heard early morning thunder, but no rain. According to the weather maps the storm was about 30 miles to the south of Sakon City. A few more hot days, increased chances of thunderstorms and slight cooling YFC The team which won the Sakon Nakhon provincial games has been 'kicking butt' in all their matches in the regional games in Udon Thani. All wins to this point. Tourism A 100% increase is expected over the next year according to one journalist. Mostly Chinese. I have nothing bad to say about Chinese. Whenever there is such a great volume of people, there is a certain amount of trouble makers. I remember a few years ago when there was this great influx from Australia, there were reports of increased mentally unstable tourists. I prefer to stay 'off the beaten path," to see the real Thailand. |

Before the game I was asked: "Will Sakon Nakhon win?" Without hesitation I said: "YES!" Climbed from 13th of 14 teams in the league to 11 with just one win. There are still eight games to be played today (Sunday) which may alter the standings

A few warmer days and nights ahead
Yesterday early afternoon I decided to turn on the air con. Two hours later it became quite windy. Time to turn off the aircon, open some windows and doors. The edge of the storm made a visit with high winds and a short drizzle. | |

Today Feels like 40 (103f), overnight low may not get below 28. There is that speck of hope of cooling to the west of us. A few hot and dry days ahead  | |
