Weather services seem to disagree on the daily temperatures.  They all indicate a rise in temperatures next week. Cloudy at times, scattered rain at times

Sounded like nearby transformer exploded around 6 am. The morning temperature was quite pleasant, fans were not essential.  I calculated the outage would last a few hours. Power was restored at 8:30, watched them reset some circuit breakers with a long pole.  Outages  aren't as frequently as they once used to be, but they still happen. Going to shop for a battery operated modem.  No problem with the computer, as it's a laptop with a six hour battery

Get to the waterfront park fairly early for a good seat for the 'boat parade on the lake  Sometime after 8 am the trophy delivery parade begins.  Usually there's a delay waiting for the dignitaries to be in place.    While you're waiting for the festivities to begin you can watch a few practice boat races.  A short ceremony (includes speech) is held at the grandstand The boat procession on the water is also a competition of the Peacock dancers   Long boat races continue all day with plenty to see and do along the waterfront.    An evening vist to the municipal field and the foodfair should be on your agenda.
