Engine fire onboard Bangkok bound flight February 2018

Smoke was noticed from the engine shortly after takeoff from Sakon Nakhon Airport.  The aircraft returned safely to Sakon Nakhon. I was having a beer across the street from the runway, did not observe the plane landing, but heard the engine, which seemed louder than normal as the aircraft was reducing speed on the runway. Sakon FC does a last minute win

Chaiyaphum scored the first goal. Sakon Nakhon retaliated with their own goal fifteen minutes later.  It looked like a tie game.
