Wish you the best "Baci Ceremony"

I know Baci as the string tying ceremony.

It's a ceremony, traditionally held before noon, to celebrate special events such as birthdays, marriages etc.

Other events may be to honor the arrival or departure of visitors and friends, recovery from sickness, seeking a medical cure.

A longtime neighborhood friend recently lost a leg due to a sporting accident.
His family held a 'Wish you the Best' Baci ceremony.

Some of the folk I see on a daily basis, others I see less often. To me it was also a bit of a reunion party.

The lottery is generally not part of the ceremony.
It's something I like to do among certain friends on special occasions

As usual forecast temperatures vary.

What is evident: some very hot days ahead.
Slight cooling trend toward the end of the week.

The extended forecast calls for temperatures between 29 to 31 through the first half of October.

Nighttime temperatures will continue to feel steam bath like. Expect humidity to go above 90% tonight and tomorrow night. After that in the mid 80's.
Humidity tends to increase in the early evening, peaking just after midnight.

The local weather service reports 0.3mm rainfall yesterday. It lasted about 3 minutes

Some 36 kilometers from Sakon Nakhon (city).
It’s estimated that the site was built in the 11th to 12th century A.D.
Visiting the site requires good health and stamina.
To reach the site visitors must climb some 491 steps surrounded by jungle, and are rewarded
by a breathtaking view of the surrounding country side

My sincere thanks to all the folk who called me, or sent me e-mails...

...advising me of last nights public performance.
Unfortunately at the moment I am suffering from upper spine pain, severe enough,
limiting physical activity.
I did check with a number of Facebook pals and confirmed that they would attend and
photograph the event.

Even though I did not attend personally,
I encourage everyone to continue to give me a 'Heads Up' to any public event in the area.
