4th Charity Motorbike Ride 5 AUgust

‎by Graham Collar‎ published to facebook group Sakon Nakhon Community of expats The 4th Charity Motorbike Ride will take place on 5th August. PJ Motors Kawasaki Sakon Nakhon is one of the many organizers of this event  to raise funds for school improvements e.g. floor tiles for the cement floor.  Donations for the work can be given in advance to PJ Motors or on the day.  The ride will leave PTT on the Udon road at 8am. See map (in Thai) below. The orange box represents the Rajabhat University. There will be activities arranged for the bikers at the school. Please help if you are able. It will be a fun ride to meet new friends.

Thailand Tourism Challenges Ahead

Many of the nearby countries are starting direct flights, bypassing "The Bangkok HUB." Thailand's China tourism hasn't been what it should be.  Sure massive numbers. But they are on a discount travel plan.  Up to 50% off.  Increased wear and tear, less income. The present government is stepping up efforts to wipe out its seedy reputation and improve it's image.  It won't all disappear, but it will be 'toned down' quite a bit. Thailand tourism has up to now rebound from many mishaps  and miscalculations.  Up to now it's been the best in SE Asia, now the competition is heating up. 2017 could the best Sakon Nakhon FC Season

With a loss by Surin Sunday, Sakon Nakhon FC firmly remains in 5th place for the moment. It's not going to be easy to remain in 5th place. Next is a home game when Sakon FC hosts Mahasarakham.   Mahasarakham just beat Surin yesterday and they are on a 4 game winning streak.   Sakon FC beat Mahasarakham at Mahasarakham 2 - 0 in April of this year.  That was Sakon Nakhon FC's first win of 2017 Mahasarakham at Sakon Nakhon, 7 Aug 2016

click image for click image for original With yesterday's Sakon Nakhon win, the team moved up to 5th place of 12.  The best standing the team has seen to date.  Compare that to the previous best season 2010 8th of 16 BUT some of the three games played today, might drop us back down.  MAYBE  The Surin vs Maha Sarakham game may change that.  A Surin win could easily take over 5th place Yesterday's game  was available on a facebook stream. Scroll forward to 36:00 for the start of the game. It was live on this blog yesterday.
