The first thing quite obvious as you leave SakonNakhon on highway 213, heading towards Phu Phan, is the temperature.As soon as you make your way up the winding mountain highway, it's pleasantly cooler.
The Kham Hom Waterfall is only about a twenty minute drive from the city. It's a seasonal waterfall and only becomes active during and after the rainy season.Even during the dry season it's worth a visit if you enjoy going for a walk along the nature trails.
Of course it's a lot more fun after the rainy season
