The New York Times supplies an updated list of airports affected by a cloud of ash from an erupting volcano in Iceland.

The volcano, which spewed up to eight miles into the atmosphere during earlier blasts, is now spewing ash up to three miles high.
At present there is no indication when air transportation will return to normal.
17,000 flights have been canceled to date, affecting an estimated 8 million people.
The volcano last erupted 1821 and was active for nearly two years.
