Recuperating after a thrilling and adventurous day in Tao Ngoi

The first thing upon arriving for an afternoon of festivities, was to stop off at a minimarket and buy sunscreen, sunglasses and beer.    Down the street I bought the largest shade hat I could find. Next door at the drugstore I bought eyewash and antacids. I have plenty of these items at home, I could have packed them, I was too much in a hurry to get there.  Had false information about the starting time.  We were two hours early  I don't mind.  Had time to find an advantageous viewing place with fan and chair.  Two doors down from the 7/11 and across the street from a TESCO minimarket.    During the heat of the early afternoon I kept a bag of crushed ice in the dome of my hat.    Organization at the event was supreme.  Cops directing traffic, advising vendors if they needed to relocate.  There were more than enough men in tan standing by.
