Had planned to create a slideshow of 2018 when I realized that I still had quite a collection of unedited photo albums on my hard drive Uploaded a series of pictures of a local temple to facebook which promptly asked me to identify these characters. I do not identify any persons in my photos. Facebook does that automatically, occasionally it's wrong
It wasn't all that long ago (November 1st, 2016) that the U.S. government came out with a directive that you could no longer wear glasses for passport pictures. Facial recognition software had problems identifying people with glasses. Still today at Thai 7-11 stores software has problems identifying faces with glasses. Not too far in the future, you won't need a wallet. You can already board a plane without a boarding pass, facial recognition handles all the details, including charging the flight to your bank account. The challenge here will be identical twins.
GoPro reveals new Hero4 Session mini action cam- BBC News Unless you are doing some undercover work, tiny cameras are really not that enticing. The camera I have now is already a bit cumbersome. I have to push the memory card in with my fingernails, and frequently miss. Then there is the GoPro price $363 (£233) (฿11,616). There are other brand names with similar quality and features costing ฿1,550 to ฿3,500 The camera has great resolution. The average user will find the camera handy as a dashboard camera while driving. In some sports it comes in handy as a helmet cam. Forget mounting the camera on an airborne device, that's been outlawed in Thailand. For the average user, the smartphone is just as good, with additional features these tiny cameras don't have.
The camera saves videos in 3 minute (344 mb), 5 and ten minute segments
At the moment I am using a 16GB micro memory card. Other Micro cards available come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
The camera does have a car setting which I have not yet used.

Camera on the left was around 600 baht, the pictures were extremely poor quality b&w.
This HD camera I recently bought continues to amaze me. Bought a 16GB card.
Haven't quite got the hang of all the settings.
Mounted on the motorcycle handle bar, the camera recorded video from 3 pm till 8 pm, used up 9 GB.
Previously had one of those 500 baht cameras, the pictures were poor. Finally found a camera locally which seemed to offer better picture quality. Called the Sport HD. Comes with waterproof case (Ideal for songkran) and a number of mounting brackets, with quick removal screw. It does not come with as SD card, which you have to buy seperately.
One of the first pictures after purchasing an SD card.

The video quality is quite impressive too. Mounting the camera on my helmet is a next experiement. Should limit the shaking.
