Sing it Baby

A number of Asians have confessed that they speak English with an oriental accent.
They'd ask me how to loose the accent.  My reply:  Sing it Baby
And here's a video from Taiwan to prove my point.

Outdoor cooking and dining

When I arrived, the kettle was on.
Fresh roots and herbs were added to create a broth for jumbo shrimp.

Fresh greens from the market were being cleaned for the Thai salad 'too spicy' for my taste.

Fish were brought up from Lake (Nong) Han.  Apparently its quite an easy catch with the use of a headband light in the early evening.

Tom Jued, Thai clear soup with pork and vegetables was my favorite for the evening.

Counted over twenty guests, but lost count of the assortment of food being served.

Heard of a Red Shirt gathering at SakonNakhon Provincial Headquarters, so I avoided the area and instead visited
Wat Phra That Choeng Chum at night

Or is it Isaan Gardening?

The idea is quite simple.  Place bottles upside down in a circle.  Add leftovers from your spicy Thai salad, and let it germinate.

And here's another Garden beautification Idea

    Damned Female Vampires

Stepped into steam room like conditions when I entered the living room at 7 a.m. this morning.

Female mosquitoes avoid wet surfaces on the skin.
Mosquitoes do not feed on a human arm as long as the skin is kept wet. www.springerlink.com/

For outdoor events in this heat. I tend to place a plastic bag with ice on my shoulders.  This is a perfect way of keeping cool on a hot day. As the ice melts and water keeps me well dampened, I am not bothered by mosquitoes..

Feet and ankles are favorite feeding ground for mosquitoes.
Feet produce a cheese like enzyme particularly attractive to these miniature vampires.
Vinegar is the least inexpensive repellent I have been using.
Add vinegar to a damp washcloth,  wipe exposed legs, ankles and feet.  Reapply every two to four hours (depending on perspiration).  Keep your washcloth in a plastic bag to keep moist for reuse.

Some people tend to add citrus or cosmetics to disguise the vinegar smell.
