Melons and Coconuts

Watermelon Star Show - Best Variety
Google Translation

It's not watermelons, but then, who am I to complain?

Coconut Harvest

Decided to harvest some nuts before heavy storms bring them crashing down.
A few will wind up in my blender, mixed with rum preservative.

Rescued Plant

Found it abandoned in a vacant lot and brought it home.
So far it seems to not attract insects

Bangkok experiences hottest temperatures in three decades

Recently saw a number of headlines declaring the Bangkok Heatwave of 2012.
Temperatures in the mid forties (113F).
The local thermometer hasn't gone quite that high, but local humidity made it feel just as hot as Bangkok.
I'd been hoping for some rain accompanied by cooler temperatures.
Three days of nearby thunder, but the rain clouds just passed us by.
I've frequently referred to that phenomena as the Doughnut Effect

A Heavy Rain and Flash Flood Warning by the Thai Meteorological Department (this morning)

Sakon Nakhon Double Duck Cafe

Had met the folks at Double Duck a few weeks ago at a local bank.
Promised that I would visit sometime.
Really glad I did. Very pleasant and hospitable.

Follow the sidestreet at MACRO. First right and follow the main street

  Finally !!

For years I've been preaching "install millions of video cameras to combat the Southern Unrest."
I had even suggested that they should create jobs and use "MADE IN THAILAND" surveillance camera's.

Sakon Nakhon Night Bazaar

Recently commented about the cement pouring south of the EXPO and NEVADA complex.
Took a wild guess that it may be a night market area.
No official confirmation, but the news is spreading that it's to be a Night Bazaar.

 Heavy Rains Of April 27

Heavy rains broke solder connection to my downspouts
The weather forecast at accuweather predicts rain almost every day during the month of May.
Forecasts beyond three days should be considered educated guesses.

I've been following ocean surface temperatures on an almost daily basis since last year's rainy season, at wunderground.
There seems to be some correlation between ocean temperatures and local rainfall.
Ocean surface temperatures have been continuing to increase and spread since the beginning of the year.
Hot ocean temperatures are the breeding grounds for hurricanes and tropical storms

Penalty Shoot Out decides winner

Mister Hans Y.F.C. second best

It was a fast paced and exiting game which ended scoreless.
The team was defeated in Penalty Shoot Out
The team brought last years champion trophy to the competition.   They were the champions.

It is Hot and Humid in Sakon Nakhon

When Thais complain of the heat, then you know it's hot.
These folk are the same folk who wear insulated parkas when the temperature
  drops below 20C/68F.
At the football game I wore an ice pack around my neck to keep cool

The Humidity factor

Within four days, nearly knee deep waterholes have evaporated.
