Sakon Nakhon F.C. beats Mukdahan F.C.

It had rained most of the day, at times heavy. From the looks of things I strongly suspected the game might be rained out. Surprisingly the stadium seemed to be spared from most of the rain. streets in the stadium were almost totally dry.

Plenty of vacant seating, possibly due to the rain, or because there was a fair going on across the street from the stadium. No matter what the reason, it was the lowest attendance I'd ever seen in regional football. Also noticeably absent where media.

There were moments when I had to lol (laugh out loud). Like the moment a Mukdahan player stood unopposed in front of the Sakon Nakhon goal. Instead of kicking the ball into the net, he kicked it sideways, averting a goal.

Quite annoying was the placement of flags which obstructed some of the play action.
This may have been an easy victory for Sakon FC, but you can be guaranteed it's not going to be a pretty picture this Wednesday during the makeup game with Roi Et.

Travelers Diarrhea Treatment

Cyclospora is a parasite found mostly on fruit and vegetables, which causes diarrhea.
The parasite is more aggressive in patients who were recently ill and have a weak immune system
"Symptoms include watery diarrhea, weight loss, cramping, nausea and fatigue"
Not all antibiotics are effective in treating this infection.
Trimoxazole Tablets, a combination of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, are the recommended treatment.

This type of diarrhea, also known as travelers diarrhea is very common in Thailand.

All fruit and vegetables need be thoroughly washed before peeling, as to not contaminate the flesh during the peeling process.

How to end your sport career 'Thai Style'

Happened a few days ago in Canada
They had been badminton partners in the past (London 2012 Olympics).
That was then. This time they were playing against each other and bad blood was boiling between them.
Early in the game both had been warned following a heated verbal exchange.
Rumor and probably likely, punches started when one player called the other a ladyboy (refering to his ponytail).

Crocodile attacks trainer

Time to consider a change of profession.

I had been to that crock farm some years ago. No incident then. I considered the show as unnecessarily dangerous. Anything to make a buck.  The practice should be outlawed in my opinion.

Sakon Nakhon

Wat Pra Tat face lift continues

Outside the lakeside temple entrance.
Fair coming or gone?

Front view Superb!! Rear view Why?

Remnants of time gone by. Renovations pending?

In recent years the temple has been spending some big bucks on renovations.
The inner temple ground is getting new non slip tiles, fresh coats of paint, immaculate gardens.  It's all done with donations.

They're obviously not done yet

Really wish they would have an English translation

Donations, as explained to me.
