And now an important public announcement
The public address system which had been silent for over a week was cranked up late this afternoon. Of course I was eager to hear what was so important. Even more surprising was the explanation given me. An announcement was made that there is an oversupply of shallots.
They are being sold for 7 Baht per kilo (US$0.10 per pound).
