Vietnam hosts Malaysia  this evening in the second leg of their play-off.  Vietnam beat Malaysia 2 -1 in a game on Dec 7 in Malaysia.  I have not found any live broadcasts of this game in Thailand.

It's not really a Hitler video, it's one scene where the Thai student shows off his painting of Hitler and a swastika.  It's just not very appropriate

Dragon Festival begins in the morning (Dec 11)

I've watched the parade almost every year of the 12 years I have lived here. 

It's really worth your time to watch if you are in town. I consider it one of the top 5 events in Sakon Nakhon

 

Cotton for your ears is highly recommended.  There'll be plenty of fireworks.

Starts very early (7am) from the Chinese temple.  Most of the action takes place on Rat Phatthana Road, where the downtown bus station and the green corner restaurant are located.

Nightly shows at the temple take place every night at 7 pm each night of the festival.

This is not a holiday, most businesses will be open as usual.

Stopped by the temple this evening.  I expected to see people getting ready with face painting and such.  I was a bit too early for that.  Most people will not arrive until after the football game Thailand hosts Philippines.

Every Friday BBQ. At 2 PM. 

This Friday we will be serving BBQ chicken breasts, potato salad, cream corn and salad.

December 19, 4 pm

co-birthday party for Larry Nelson (ME) and Peter Forsyth. We will be serving authentic Buffalo Hot Wings, Cumberland pork sausage, fried rice, and green curry. Party starts at 4 and goes until the last drunk leaves which in my case, is never. lol We will also have live music.

we will celebrate Christmas Day in America and Boxer Day for everyone else with smoked turkey and all the fixings.
