All (telephone) SIM cards used in Thailand must be registered no Later than July 31, 2015 Tourists using their sim card from their home country, in many cases will be shocked upon their return home. Such roaming charges are enormous in most cases. A Thai SIM card can be purchased for under 300 baht US$10 Extended stay foreigners may have registered their phones a few years ago when the SIM card laws were first announced.
