Celebrating Eostre / Ostara, Goddess of (Spring) Fertility represented by Hares and Eggs
The Easter Bunny is believed to be a German invention. Very similar to Santa Klaus traditions. Originally the Bunny did not hide the eggs, but similar to Santa, delivered 'the goods' on the night before, if you had been good.
As for the Goddess Eostre / Ostara, she was conceived by Germanic's at a time when when much of present day Europe was considered Germanic wikipedia
Slaughter Fest in Udon Thani
Sakon Nakhon FC received their worst 'Trouncing of the Season," The team dropped from 15th to 17th in the league of 18 teams. Udon Thani FC is # 2 Sakon Nakhon FC next hosts Nakhon Phanom on April 12, at the Sakon Nakhon Stadium on Airport road. The odds of winning this home game are 'winnable.' It's going to be hard fought by both teams to get out of the basement. It should be a fast paced game. Let's pray for some decent refereeing. |

"... travelers should wash their hands 'meticulously' and be cautious about food and water consumption..."
There's a Superbug making a return visit to the US called shigella sonnei.
The bug gives you diarrhea, and this new strain is resistant to antibiotics.
So You say the US is far away, no problem. The bug is being transmitted by international travelers.
Tourism being a large part of Thailand's income, it's important to keep this in mind, especially since many tourists these days are not very sanitary minded.
