Picasa was my favorite online album. I do like the people feature. It's not perfect, far from it. A few of my friends show up in the buddha album. Mostly overweight people. Schöner-fernsehen switching to pay service
The television streaming service, which had been free for a number of years apparently did not create enough advertising revenue to survive. The service was not available most of the day on December 5, but reappeared later in the day with the notice

The Good News: 1) The following stations will continue to be free of charge: ZDF, ZDF INFO, ZDF NEO, ZDFKULTUR, ARD, ARD EINSFESTIVAL, ARD EINSPLUS, NDR, WDR, BAY3, 3SAT, MDR, SWR, HR, ONE, RBB 2)
For a monthly payment of 0.99 € then all channels are available
The price is quite reasonable, however payment is by bank transfer with a 2.00€ fee. English speakers will probably find this service less attractive, since there are only 15 english channels on this mostly German service
Some of these English channels remain free elsewhere
