Getting the word out in a timely fashion Had I known I would have spent some tourism baht There's a few videos from Phang Khon. Looks like some fun I missed. Would be nice to find a source where all events within a province are coordinated and publicised in a timely fashion. tourismthailand.org lists two upcoming events  The links on that page get you a larger view of the picture and nothing else. Locals and Expats can help. If you see a poster advertising an event, especially if they include future dates. Take a picture and post it, let everybody know

Expat establishments celebrate the holidays

BRING THE KIDS.
Not the usual Xmas dinner cause no imported full breasted Butterball Turkey's in Thailand again this year.
( Tried locally grown last year ) Could not get in the mood to make a traditional Xmas dinner without a turkey.
Instead..... we will serve, buffet style, kids ( big and small ) food ,Thai food, and desert , and ............I will bake and serve a large pizza every 8 minutes.
Apple's treat, ....it is our way of saying "Merry Xmas."
It all begins at 15:00 this coming Saturday
RSVP by Thursday 12:00 a must.
PS. Beverages will require your financial support.

Phu Phan Cup 35 :: Sakon Nakhon A vs Nong Khai
  It was the second game of the day. I had watched Khon Kaen devastate Amnat Charoen with a 5-1 upset. Sitting on cement for an hour I was tempted to leave, my butt was sore. But then It was the local team playing and someone brought some pain medicine (Leo). It was quite an exciting game. Plus I met plenty of friends. There are games at the Airport road field every day. My interest will be Sakon games and of course the finals of the Phu Phan cup. Closing ceremony on Dec 29 is worth a go see |

I'll have to remember to wear my helmet cam
Was stopped on my road trip to Tha Rae this morning. Had never been stopped in that area before. Think the cop just wanted to impress me with his new helmet cam. A quick license check, a polite 'thank you' from him, a polite 'thank you' in return. Hope his battery was fully charged |

Benefits of the cool season, less electricity used
The pool pump runs once a week, the air conditioner has been off for two months, just using fans. My meter is read every 20th of the month  1724 Baht = US$ 47.99 (Dec exchange rate) |
